Combining Korean craft traditions with contemporary design, celebrated mother-of-pearl artist, Jian Yoo, creates stunning works of art that interpret the world through an iridescent lens. In Infinite Allure, a Phantom Gallery installation, Yoo perfectly captures the rhythmic movement and mesmerising hues of the ocean using najeon chilgi — an ancient Korean art form in which lacquerware is inlaid with delicate mother-of-pearl.
